What The Heck Is A Cacao Ceremony?

If you’ve been a part of the Spirited Seeker community for a while now, you’ll have heard me bang on about the magic of cacao. In fact, I adore it so much that I’m heading to Bali next month for a ceremony facilitator training to work with the plant medicine of cacao!

There is much to be said about this incredible plant, but I drop pieces of that information throughout the below recording of the most recent virtual gathering, and will continue to share in future calls that i hope YOU join!

The whole intention around sharing cacao is to simply create sacred space for you to connect with your soul. To let your heart open safely, declare your intentions, feel what you need to feel, settle in to your body, calm your overactive mind, make wishes and spend time with your special self. It’s as simple as that, yet most of us are ‘too busy’ to get quiet.

Attending a cacao ceremony, virtually with me or in real sacred space, could offer you that deep communion you really crave.

So, pop on a playlist (I’ve linked mine below), ignite some candles, lock the door, and listen in to this ceremony reply. I’d love to know from you what insights or emotions arose, so let me know in the comments! Stay updated with future community calls and offerings over on instagram @spiritedseeker.

Prepare your cup of cacao:

- 1 TB raw cacao powder (available in most grocery/bulk food stores)
- 1 TB cacao butter
- tiny pinch of cayenne/chilli + cinnamon
- 1 cup boiled water

- 1 drop orange essential oil
- 1 drop clove essential oil
- 1/4 tsp reishi/chaga mushroom
- 1/4 tsp mesquite powder

Collect all ingredients and add to a blender.
Close your eyes for a moment, take a deep breath and invite in the spirit of cacao to the array of ingredients before you blend them in to union.

Blend for 20-30 seconds and pour in to a mug or cup that feels sacred to you. Resist that cheeky sip and save it for our ceremony!

Yours in chocolate-covered connection,
